The shelf knows what expires first.

A general-purpose till counts how many Biogesic you have. This one counts which box, bought on which delivery, expiring in which month, at what it cost you. That is the difference between knowing your stock and knowing what it is worth.

Three keystrokes and the sale is done.

Type, press Enter, press F8. The register was written for a queue on a Saturday afternoon, so it runs from the keyboard and never makes a cashier hunt for anything with a mouse. A barcode gun goes straight into the cart, and when the gun dies mid-queue the camera reads the barcode instead.

On a tablet it rearranges itself: the function keys give way to fingertip-sized buttons and a grid of the dozen medicines this branch sells fastest, so the common sale is one tap.

  • The brand and its generic come up together, so a cashier can offer the cheaper box without looking anything up.
  • Prescription items are flagged before the total, not after the customer has their wallet out.
  • Part cash, part GCash, one receipt.

The stock count that adds itself up.

Bilangin ninyo ang nasa shelf, i-type ang nabilang, at sasabihin kaagad kung ilan ang kulang o sobra — kada lote, kada expiry. Hindi na kayo magku-kwenta.

Ang simula, ang dumating, ang nabenta at ang nasira ay naitala na noong nangyari pa lang. Kaya ang “dapat” ay hindi hinuhulaan — kinukuha lang sa record.

  • Kailangang may dahilan bago ma-save ang diperensya — hindi pwedeng basta i-edit ang bilang.
  • Kada lote may sariling bilang, kaya alam ninyo kung aling expiry ang kulang.
  • Nakatala kung sino ang nagbilang at kailan, at hindi ito mababago.

Senior citizen and PWD discounts

₱112 ang gamot sa istante at senior ang bumili. ₱80 po ang tama, hindi ₱89.60. Tinatanggal muna ang VAT bago ang 20%. Automatic na lang dito, pati ang ID number at pangalan na hahanapin kapag may nag-review ng mga claim ninyo.

Kilala nito kung alin ang maintenance meds para sa diabetes, altapresyon at cholesterol. Hiwalay ang total nila sa vatable ninyong benta, kaya hindi na kayo mag-aayos nito sa dulo ng buwan.

Nakatala kung sino ang nagreseta, sino ang pasyente, at sino ang parmasyutikong naglabas ng gamot. Nasa PRC licence niya mismo, hindi sa pangalan ninyo. Isang file lang kapag may dumating na humihingi.

Kapag may na-recall na lot, makikita ninyo agad kung saang branch napunta at kung ilan ang naibenta na. Hindi na kayo maghahalungkat ng delivery receipts sa araw na may magtanong.

BotikaPOS will not print you a document headed OFFICIAL RECEIPT until you hold a Permit to Use for it. Plenty of software will. Issuing an unregistered receipt carries a penalty under Section 264 of the Tax Code, and it falls on the drugstore owner — not on whoever sold them the system.

So a new shop starts in internal-control mode, which RR 10-99 expressly allows: complete sales records, X and Z readings, shift reconciliation — everything you need to run the place and to reconcile against the registered invoices you go on issuing. When your Permit to Use comes through, you tell us, and the receipt switches on.

If that reads as a limitation, it is one. It is also the only arrangement that does not quietly make the penalty yours.
